About
Computercyclist.com is my place to air thoughts, experiences, and cool stuff I find on the web…. It is usually about bikes, bike culture, outdoor activities, and my life.
I have been in love with bicycles since I learned to ride. Bikes satisfy my desires to: tinker; experience nature; get in shape; and suffer. I raced mountain and road bikes for a number of years but am now more interested in just finding a good trail or beautiful ride on a sunny day. Bicycling has introduced me to many of my closest friends, including my wife Wendy. No one has articulated what the bicycle means to our family than she in this piece HERE.
Professionally I am a computer scientist… not the kind that actually has useful skills, I program ground robots. Sometimes I vent my work-place frustrations in form of Haiku on this site… other times I display robot related items, rarely technical, most often robot culture… songs, poems, comics.
I love feedback and comments to see that people actually read this so if you comment you are likely to get a reply.
cheers, and thanks for stopping by
